At the Cherokee Street Jazz Crawl on the first Saturday in November, you'll find dance and music on every corner of Cherokee Street — swing dancers and blues musicians tucked in between vintage clothing racks or brass bands marching down the street in the 2nd line parade.
Save the date for the 12th annual Cherokee Street Jazz Crawl, set to take over the shops, bars and street corners of Cherokee all day on Saturay November 2nd. This year's event will bring back jazz crawl classics like the second line parade, while also incorporating new artists and activations. Stay tuned for more info!

This year, we’ve lined up one of the most renowned artists in the St. Louis, potentially our biggest name yet. The 2024 Jazz Crawl Grand Finale concert is headlined by Marquise Knox with The Funky Butt Brass Horns, sponsored by SWADE. This special night of music and dance also includes the Jazz Crawl’s famed All-Styles Dance Battle, where talented artists from ballerinas & swing aficionados to tap and break dancers battle it out to a range of music genres to see who takes the crown, and the prize money.
This ticketed grand finale on Saturday November 2nd is at The Golden Record at 2720 Cherokee. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Limited number of VIP Reserved Table Ticket Packages available.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The show will go on, but we must do it safely. Participants at the 2021 Cherokee Jazz Crawl event must comply with current St. Louis City public health rules, including the requirement to properly wear face masks over nose and mouth while indoors when not actively eating or drinking. Some venues, including 2720 Cherokee and The Fortune Teller Bar, also require additional precautions, such as proof of vaccination or negative covid-19 diagnostic test within previous 72 hours.
Supported by Music at the Intersection
One lucky band/artist performing at this year's Cherokee Street Jazz Crawl will also earn a featured spot in the lineup for the 2022 Music at the Intersction festival in Grand Center. Who wins? You decide!
Head to the Jazz Crawl Info Tent at Cherokee & Texas this Saturday during the event to cast your vote!
Cherokee Street Jazz Crawl began in 2012 as aspect of the Nevermore Jazz Ball & St. Louis Swing Dance Festival and under the leadership of the STL Jitterbugs.
Overtime, the Jazz Crawl has taken on a life of its own. On Cherokee Street, you’re as likely to see a roller-skating banana as a neighbor walking their dog. Its constant stream of shops, eateries, bars, and cafes makes the street a hotbed of music and art, often underground, within an already vibrant city. And beyond that, Cherokee Street is a place to just be. The annual Cherokee Street Jazz Crawl is a culmination of this, a celebration of the city’s urban music and dance scene, and simply an amazing party.
Today the Jazz Crawl is put on by Cherokee Street Foundation and organized by dance instructor, performer & musician Christian Frommelt.
